czlogo The PICS Festival on May 19th has had the biggest response of any events that we have organised since we started. Clearly the idea of using art to reflect the world we live in this century and the effect this can have on social change has hit a chord with many people.

So we are planning a hangout or follow up meeting on on June 14th so that we can see how we can carry the energy generated by this Exhibition forward. We want to look at three specific areas of future activity. You can find out more at http://www.meetup.com/21stCenturyNetwork/events/64531992/

First we now this Citizen Journalist Blog CitizenZone and this is available for those who want to exhibit their photojournalism, write blogs and add their digital stories there. We will look at how we can develop this and perhaps get a group of people to help do this – so that the work and enthusiasm generated by the Exhibition will have a vehicle for it to continue.

Secondly we could discuss any follow up activities that we might do around photography and social change and

Thirdly we could look at other areas of the arts where we might develop similar activities as the one we developed around photography.

Of course you may have other ideas and we could also develop these as well and then try to map a way forward. We can also get feedback from the Exhibition that will help us in future events.

So if you are interested in developing these ideas then come along and join in the discussion with your own ideas and let’s see what we can create from there. So come and hangout and collaborate.
